It’s been over two years since Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski committed $1.2 million to rehabbing the Charlesbank Playground on the Esplanade across from Massachusetts General Hospital.

The playground which will be renamed after the football legend closed this week to create a more accessible play space. The official opening will be this summer.
