The Downtown neighborhoods have been extremely fortunate about representation on Beacon Hill, except in one instance.

State Senator Lydia Edwards represents the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Downtown, the North End and East Boston. After canvassing the first three neighborhoods, no one has seen her or any of her staff at meetings or events or is aware of her reaching out to understand our local needs, hopes and concerns.

While her politics may be progressive, her distain for us is intolerable. All we do is pay her salary.

Since Edwards has no opposition, The Boston Guardian recommends that she be denied our votes and support until such time as she demonstrates some knowledge of where the Downtown neighborhoods are geographically.

To help in this process, we suggest sending her a map to aid in finding out at the very last where we live and work.
