Shakespeare has returned to the Boston Common and will run through August 8. This year will feature The Winter’s Tale.

Entering its 28 th season, the free performances attract 30-40,000 attendees.

“Every summer thousands of people per night not only enjoy free Shakespeare on the Common but also eat, shop, park, and stay in the heart of Downtown,” said Michael Nichols, President of the Downtown Boston BID.

“And this year, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company has deepened partnerships to support Downtown businesses. We are thrilled at the continued success of Shakespeare on the Common and believe the series to be a powerful economic engine in Downtown.”
