POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS

District 4: 650 Harrison Avenue, 617-343-4457

District A-1: 40 New Sudbury Street, 617-343-4627

Change the lock!!!

Our first incident report is, regrettably, quite freaky. At 2:31am on December 6, police responded to a larceny call at an apartment building on Boylston Street in the Fenway.

A tenant stated that she locked her unit at 5:15pm on December 5 and walked down to the lobby to meet her daughter, returning about an hour later. The door was still locked.

About 1:30am, she was unable to sleep, walked around her apartment, and observed that her purse (a black Chanel bag valued at $1,000) had been taken from her kitchen counter. It contained various id cards but no credit cards or money. The victim told the officer that this was the second time something like this had happened to her and that she is the only one with an apartment key. She was advised to contact her landlord to have her locks changed immediately.

Civilized behavior

Some motorists are actually in the holiday spirit. Two vehicles were involved in an accident at the intersection of Gloucester and Newbury Streets at around 4:25pm on December 6. A 2016 Ford Fusion was pulling out of a parking spot when hit by a second vehicle whose owner politely admitted to being at fault. The drivers parked their cars on the side of the street to allow traffic to flow, exchanged phone numbers and paperwork for insurance purposes, and took photos of the damage. No stress, no swearing, no anger. Definitely an all too rare occurrence of civility.

Calling Mr. Clean

Police responded to the CVS at 587 Boylston Street at about 1:37am on December 7 to deal with an individual in possession of two bottles of Gain laundry detergent. The suspect claimed that he had used a CVS gift card to pay for the items but was unable to provide a receipt. The store manager just wanted the product back and the individual banned from his store. Mr. Clean was warned that he would be arrested if he ever returned.

How did I get here?

A 911 call brought D4 officers to public alley 710 behind East Brookline Street at 6:12am on December 7 to deal with a woman trying to “squeeze” through a fence. The individual was found on the ground and told the police that she did not know how she got there nor could she explain why she was not wearing any pants. Our poor damsel did remember, however, consuming crystal meth earlier in the day. EMS was notified and transported her to Boston Medical Center.

Back for more

There are two ladies who seem to love acquiring articles from Victoria’s Secret at 100 Huntington Avenue. Payment, however, is never considered. About 6pm on December 7, our local constabulary arrived to get yet another report. The first female is 5 feet, 11 inches and weighs about 250 pounds. This time she was wearing a red sweatshirt with black leggings and carrying two large tote bags. Her companion is the same height but only 110 pounds and wearing a black sweatshirt with black leggings and also carrying two tote bags. Doesn’t sound like they’re identical twins given the different color sweatshirts. Their haul this time was nine leggings, 20 pink panties, one pair of pajamas and six different beauty supplies totaling $1,031.05 (not including Massachusetts sales tax).
