The penthouse at 46 Beacon Street has sold for $18 million.

The residence has 5,700 square feet spread over three floors, four bedrooms, six bathrooms, direct elevator access and two parking spaces.

The building has been rehabbed over the last three years into eight condominiums.

Another unit recently sold for $12 million. The penthouse sale was first reported by The Boston Business Journal.

It is Beacon Hill’s second highest sale this year. A 9,400 square foot brownstone at 41 Chestnut Street sold for $22 million.
