One week into her new position as the Mayor’s liaison to the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Fenway and the Mission Hill, Maggie Van Scoy got some unwelcome news, a positive Covid test and quarantine. “My symptoms were mild, and I did have a long list of people to introduce myself to. Thank God for Zoom,” Van Scoy told The Boston Guardian. “I love meeting people and being proactive.” Van
Scoy will serve as the primary contact for constituents and businesses
looking to connect with city government and will facilitate the delivery
of services within the Office of Neighborhood Services. She
was born and raised in San Luis Obispo, California and attended Tufts
University. While in college, Van Scoy interned for then City Councilor
Michelle Wu working on initiatives to address equity issues and the
